Following a defeat in AFCON qualification, Ghanaian icon Malik Jabir wants Black Stars coach Otto Addo dismissed.

After the Black Stars’ recent dismal performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications, Ghanaian icon Malik Jabir has questioned Otto Addo’s ability as head coach.

After losing to Sudan in their AFCON semifinal, four-time champion Ghana is in danger of missing out on a spot in the CAF’s premier competition for the first time since 2004.

The Falcon Jediane defeated the West African powerhouse 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Libya.

But the seasoned Ghanaian tactician has demanded Otto Addo’s dismissal, claiming he hasn’t been useful in his second spell with the national team.

Otto Addo has been beneficial to our squad during his term, hence he needs to be removed, he stated in an interview with Akoma FM.

To maintain their hopes of competing in the Morocco tournament the following year, Ghana must now win their remaining matches against Angola and Niger, who have already qualified, and hope that Sudan loses to these same opponents.

In the meantime, the Black Stars’ last group F matches against Niger and Angola will take place in November.
