George Afriyie, a former vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), blamed inadequate planning and preparation for the Black Stars’ loss against Sudan.
At the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya on Tuesday, Ghana lost 2-0 to the Falcons.
The Black Stars’ chances of making it to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifications in Morocco next year are now in jeopardy due to their setback, as they trail by two points after four games.
Mr. Afriyie claims that the Black Stars’ loss to the Sudanese was caused by improper planning on the parts of GFA, the technical team, and the Management Committee.
Ghana will play final games against Niger and Angola to complete their AFCON qualifications. After four games, Ghana is currently ranked third with two points.
For the Black Stars to make the tournament, they need to win their remaining games and pray that Sudan loses their final two.
