After losing to Barcelona and AC Milan back-to-back, Real Madrid suffered a new setback when Aurelien Tchouameni was injured.
After experiencing a dip in performance, Carlo Ancelotti’s team is in the news. After losing badly to Barcelona 4-0 in the El Clasico, Los Blancos lost to AC Milan 3-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday. Their matchup with Valencia in La Liga was postponed in between. Tchouameni was taken off at halftime of the loss against Milan due to an ankle injury, which has further hurt the Italian, who is now under pressure to turn around his team’s performance.
Although Tchouameni has received criticism this season, his absence will be problematic because the French player is a versatile player who has played for Madrid in both midfield and defense. Ancelotti now has few choices at the defense as he joins Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, and Rodrygo on the team’s injury list. Jude Bellingham hasn’t scored this season, and summer acquisition Kylian Mbappe hasn’t yet displayed his finest form at the Santiago Bernabeu, adding to Real Madrid’s offensive woes. In a quickly removed social media post, Fede Valverde’s wife attacked Ancelotti, asking, “When will they f*cking understand for once and for all that Fede is not a winger?”
