Alisha Lehmann is “so happy” that she scored Juventus’s first goal in a competitive match after joining from Aston Villa.
After concluding a move to Italy, the Swiss attacker said goodbye to both the WSL and British football. Douglas Luiz, a Brazilian boyfriend who broke up with Villa, is now on the Bianconeri’s books, has followed her to Turin.
During the 2024 Copa America, Lehmann traveled the country with Luiz, spending a significant portion of her summer doing so. She also watched her nation compete in the Euro 2025 qualifying tournament. She has now successfully adapted to life in Italy and is welcoming a new challenge.
The 25-year-old made an immediate impression during preseason, settling in fast with her new teammates. After hitting the goal in a decisive 6-2 victory over Sassuolo, she is now up and running in Serie A.
“I feel so happy for the 3 points and to score my first goal for @juventuswomen,” Lehmann wrote upon establishing her account. Forza Juve, and thanks to everyone of the supporters who came out to see us.” She will be back in action on Saturday when Juventus plays a friendly against Lyon, which features players like USWNT captain Lindsey Horan and previous Ballon d’Or Feminin winner Ada Hegerberg.
