In a preseason friendly, Asante Kotoko defeats Vision FC by a close margin.

In a friendly encounter on Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium, Asante Kotoko defeated Vision FC, a new team to the Ghana Premier League, 2-1 to resume their winning ways in the preseason.

Albert Amoah, who has been in excellent form since joining the team, gave the Porcupine Warriors an early lead just eight minutes into the match.

Twenty-three minutes later, Amoah increased Kotoko’s advantage with his second goal, giving his team a comfortable two-goal lead heading into halftime.

Both teams upped their game in the second half, delighting the crowd with excellent football.

In an attempt to rally, Vision persisted and was ultimately given a penalties, which Issah Akuka scored to cut the lead.

Vision FC tried their hardest to tie the score, but were unable to do so; Kotoko won 2-1.

With the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League season scheduled to begin on September 6, 2024, both teams will see this matchup as an important litmus test.
