The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the National Sports Authority (NSA) have been urged by Minister for Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif to work together to secure licenses from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for renovated sports stadiums in Tarkwa and Legon.
Speaking on Tuesday, August 27, during the 30th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana FA, Minister Ussif emphasized the value of having many CAF-approved locations in Ghana, particularly in view of worries regarding the Baba Yara Sports Stadium’s suitability for future games.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of other elements, such as fairness and transparency within the GFA, in addition to infrastructure in the growth of football.
This initiative highlights the need for more CAF-compliant venues in Ghana as the nation gets ready for important games, including the possible relocation of the forthcoming AFCON qualifier against Angola
