Head coach Yaw Preko of Nsoatreman FC is committed to keeping his opponents from scoring in their impending CAF Confederation Cup second-leg matchup against Elect-Sport FC.
This comes after an outstanding 3-0 triumph at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first match.
While acknowledging that his squad could have scored more, especially in the second half, Coach Preko expressed his pleasure in the way his team performed.
“I’m quite pleased. More goals should have been scored, particularly in the second half. The substitutes didn’t help and we lost a little bit of balance. We’re playing our first game, so I’m really happy of the players for scoring three goals today. There’s more on the way,” he said.
In anticipation of the second leg, the coach underlined how crucial it is to stay focused and preserve a clean sheet in order to guarantee advancement.
“In the pocket is it.” Just refuse to give in. That’s it. We are aware that we are capable of harming them. We need to keep our three goals in tact and avoid conceding, and then we’ll assess the situation,” he continued.
On Saturday, August 24, the rematch with Chad’s Elect-Sport FC is planned. Nsoatreman FC will be looking to advance to the following round of the competition by building on their first-leg victory.
