Kwame Poku, a midfielder from Ghana, began his season well for Peterborough with a brace in their crushing victory against Shrewsbury Town.
The 23-year-old kicked off Peterborough’s comeback as they overcame a sluggish start to defeat the home team 4-1 at the New Meadow.
Carl Winchester gave Shrewsbury Town the lead after 21 minutes, but Poku equalized two minutes later, and the score was tied at halftime, 1-1.
But after the interval, the Ghanaian international gave the visitors the lead, and Joel Randall’s two late goals clinched the triumph for Peterborough.
Poku joined Peterborough in the summer of 2021 and has since been in devastating form for them.
The gifted winger is anticipated to be essential to the team’s efforts to get to English League One.
