On October 18, 2024, in Addis Ababa, during a WAFU B Zonal Union meeting chaired by Okraku, this support was given.

Okraku praised the businessman from South Africa for keeping his word and expanding funding for Zonal Unions and Member Associations throughout the continent.

Football federations from over West Africa, commonly known as WAFU B, requested Dr. Motsepe to run again in the future CAF elections that are supposedly set for March 12, 2025.

As CAF President since 2021, Dr. Motsepe has spearheaded changes meant to advance African football and strengthen the group’s financial standing.

The 2025 CAF elections are approaching, and as his first term draws to an end, anticipation is building. Nominees must file by November 12, 2024.

The CAF president for the upcoming term will be chosen by football executives from throughout Africa during an election that will take place in Cairo, Egypt. Apart from the presidency, there will be contests for other executive committee positions and the election of CAF’s FIFA delegates.
