Victor Boniface had to be hospitalized following a car accident that happened after Bayer Leverkusen defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1.
After Leverkusen defeated Frankfurt 2-1 over the weekend, Boniface scored, but he was later engaged in a terrifying vehicle accident. Along with posting numerous photos of his damaged car, the striker also displayed a bloodied scrape on his hand.
After receiving medical attention in the hospital, Boniface updated his followers on social media to reassure them that he is safe and doing well.
All he wrote was “God is the greatest” and included an emoji of a love heart.
This season, Boniface has been in incredible form for Leverkusen, scoring seven goals in ten games across all competitions. He scored 21 goals in 34 games the previous season.
Boniface may not hasten his return to Leverkusen if he believes he cannot compete. Their next match is in the Champions League on Wednesday, when they play Brest, a French team.
