Concerns about the Black Stars’ dangerous situation have been expressed by Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo as they get closer to missing the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in 20 years.
With just two points from four games, the Black Stars are currently in third place in Group F. They are still without a win, five points behind Sudan, and 10 points behind Angola. Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the AFCON would be virtually eliminated if Sudan draws their next match.
The Black Stars have generally struggled over the last five years, missing out on competition knockouts since 2019.
The Celta Vigo center defender responded to the circumstances by saying to Sporty TV, “In my opinion, things are pretty unstable right now, November’s AFCON qualifying matches for Ghana will take place against Niger and Angola.
