Estate developers are taking away Colts football fields, which Stephen Appiah laments.

Stephen Appiah, a former captain of Ghana, has expressed worries about the dearth of suitable fields for the growth of youth football in the nation.

He brought up the fact that real estate developers now own a number of fields that once produced players for Ghana.

While speaking to the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports last month—which is looking into the Save Ghana Football petition—Appiah made these statements.

The leaders of a demonstration in February handed this petition, which calls for structural adjustments to the way Ghanaian football is governed.

Stephen Appiah remarked, “Well, sometimes we walk around some of the pitches that we used to play on during our colts days, and you go there and see a building on those pitches.”

Therefore, I believe that there aren’t enough pitches to sustain Colts football. It’s also incredible that you could enter the Premier League at that age, when we were still colts.
