HAMZAH SHEERAZ thinks Turki Alalshikh will provide Chris Eubank Jr. with the money he needs to challenge the undefeated middleweight.
Sheeraz is at a really fortunate place. Although there is still talk of a possible matchup between the 25-year-old and Eubank, he also has the choice of facing Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, the WBO world champion, or Denzel Bentley, the European champion.
Sheeraz is still drawn to fighting Eubank, though, and in an interview with Boxing News, he seems assured that they will square off at some point.
Without His Excellency’s support, I would say there is no possibility at all, but he is a man who makes things happen, so I hope it will,” Sheeraz added.
“He behaves as though he wasn’t present at ringside for my most recent fight. We’ll undoubtedly enter the ring, even though his card play is intriguing.
On the evening that Sheeraz won the EBU title in the manner we’ve grown accustomed to, Eubank was present at Wembley Stadium. After Sheeraz delivered another demolition job, Tyler Denny only survived two rounds.
Frank Warren, the champion’s promoter, recently made it known that Eubank Jr. had declined a five million dollar deal to face Sheeraz. Is Eubank attempting self-price?
“You could say that, but then what will he do when His Excellency and the team give him what he wants?” Sheeraz pondered.
