Black Stars head coach Otto Addo believes his team deserved to beat Sudan in the third round of AFCON 2025 qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.
Ghana wasted numerous chances and settled for a goalless draw with Kwesi Appiah’s men.
The draw put the four-time African champions’ hopes of qualifying for the tournament in jeopardy.
“We have a lot of chances but that’s football,” Addo told reporters after the match.
Sometimes it’s very, very difficult for us.
That’s why it hurts even more now.
The Niger game hurt even more, and the last-minute goal against Angola hurt even more.
“We did it again today, but we can’t say anything except the result, which is the most important thing in football.
” That’s not right.
“I think we deserved to win but we didn’t, but we’re positive and will beat them with the same effort, passion and creativity in attack.
” The Black Stars are third in Group F of the tournament qualifiers in Morocco with two points, while Sudan are second in the group with four points, two behind leaders Angola with two games to play.
Ghana end their October international break on Tuesday with an away game against Sudan in Libya.
