Zulte Waregem signs Joseph Opoku, a young Ghanaian, from Great Corinthians

Joseph Opoku, a young player from Ghana, joined Zulte Waregem in Belgium during the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old from Ghanaian club Great Corinthians inked a two-year contract to play for the Challenger Pro League team.

During his trials, Opoku made an impression on the technical team, which led to his first professional contract.

Opoku remarked, “I know this is just the beginning, but for me, this is a dream come true.” “My entire life, I’ve given up everything to pursue a career in football.

It’s amazing that Essevee is now giving me this chance. I want to develop here, get better at what I do, and maybe return the favor to this lovely club.

He is anticipated to contribute to the club’s campaign as they aim for victory in the upcoming league season.

“Joseph has a lot of talent and will be a long-term asset for Essevee,” the scouting department said.

“He is a highly clever player who can maintain his technical composure under duress. We are keeping a careful eye on his progress to get him ready for the big job.”
