Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, who shone for Leicester City against Tottenham Hotspurs, called his debut Premier League match an incredible experience.
The 20-year-old attacker, who signed a permanent contract with the Foxes during the summer transfer window, began and played the whole game as Leicester and Spurs split the points.
Just prior to the hour mark, Issahaku’s deft pass to Jamie Vardy produced the equalizer, negating an early goal by Pedro Porro, a former Sporting Lisbon colleague.
Issahaku said on Instagram, beaming with excitement, “Making my Premier League debut last night was amazing.” Outstanding work from the boys and a fantastic environment from the supporters. Let’s go on, foxes; this is a shared endeavor.
The former Ghana U20 player is expected to contribute significantly to Steve Cooper’s squad this season as the Foxes aim to retain their Premier League status.
On Saturday, August 24, 2024, Leicester City will play their second match at Craven Cottage against Fulham.
