After a fantastic start to the season, Antoine Semenyo has expressed his gratitude to Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola for his confidence in him.
On the first day of the Premier League season, the Ghanaian international made an early impression by scoring a vital equalizer in Bournemouth’s 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.
Semenyo scored in the 87th minute at the City Ground, taking advantage of a mistake made by Harry Toffolo in defense to give Bournemouth a crucial point.
In addition to preventing Forest from winning their first league match against Bournemouth in nine attempts, this late goal also demonstrated Semenyo’s increasing significance to the group.
Semenyo made a statement following the game, saying, “It’s important; I felt I could contribute in various ways.” I’m glad the boss thinks highly of me for playing all three positions. Moving up and down and side to side has been a bit of a roller coaster, but I’m delighted the management believes in me in that sense.”
Semenyo led Bournemouth in scoring the previous season with eight Premier League goals and two assists. He is demonstrating his worth once more after agreeing to a new five-year deal in July, and given his strong start, it appears that he will eclipse the accomplishments of the previous campaign.
