According to Sport, the Red Devils are thinking about cutting ties with Antony and Jadon Sancho and hoping to recruit Raphinha from Barcelona this summer. To register the players they have enlisted this summer, the Catalan powerhouses must generate revenue. Barca will think about selling the Brazilian if the Premier League team agrees to meet their €60 million (£51 million/$65 million) asking price.
Raphinha, a former Leeds winger, has been linked to a move to Al-Nassr, one of the biggest teams in the Saudi Pro League. Despite playing less games at Camp Nou since Lamine Yamal’s ascent to prominence last season, Raphinha has stated that he has no intention of leaving the club this summer. While Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-German have expressed interest in Sancho, Antony has also drawn the attention of Cristiano Ronaldo’s team within the United camp. Sport reports that he is now “close” to leaving Old Trafford.
On Friday, Erik ten Hag’s team will kick off their 2024–25 Premier League campaign against Fulham. A day later, Hansi Flick’s team will play Valencia in their La Liga opener. It’s unclear if Raphinha will play in Barca’s opening match of the new campaign.
