Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), is optimistic about Nsoatreman FC’s chances of success in their first CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
In the first round of the FA Cup, the champions will play Elect Sport FC of Chad.
During his visit to the club’s training, Okraku advised the Nsoatreman squad to be focused and proudly represent Ghana.
He emphasized the possible advantages of continental competition and gave the club the assurance that the GFA will help them going forward.
“Having fun in Africa has many advantages. As you go out on this journey, it is my sincere hope and prayer that you will fly the flag of our nation proudly.”
“Medeama and Dreams performed exceptionally well last time and we’re optimistic about their chances in the CAF Confederation Cup.”
“To make sure you meet the needs of our people, the Football Association will keep providing you with all of our assistance. We at the Executive Council, myself, and the people of Ghana wish you luck as you set out to conquer Africa.”
On August 18, 2024, Nsoatreman FC and Elect Sport FC will play their first leg of the preliminary round at the Accra Sports Stadium.
On August 23, the second leg is expected to take place in Yaounde.
