Referees in the Division One League finish a rigorous training program.

The Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, where the officials Department conducted a comprehensive training course for Division One League (DOL) officials from October 12 to October 15, is now closed. The thirty referees and thirty assistant referees that made up Group 1 have the necessary skills to officiate the next season.

A wide range of important subjects were covered in the seminars, such as technical analysis, fitness preparation, and changes to the 2024–2025 Laws of the Game. Referees were given hands-on training on real-world game situations, which included dealing penalty events, evaluating handball situations, and managing offside calls. The comprehension of tactical fouls, positioning, and retaining game control were emphasized.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, players improved their decision-making on the field by going through fitness evaluations, film reviews, and game-specific activities. Professionalism was emphasized in a special integrity session, and referees receiving training on the Competitions Management System (CMS) were equipped to manage digital records efficiently.

To guarantee that referees are adequately trained to maintain the high standards of officiating in the DOL, the training was overseen by the Referees Committee and the Referees Department under the direction of national and regional instructors.
