Popular gospel singer, Empress Gifty, revealed that gospel musicians often face spiritual resistance before releasing a new song.
In their opinion, these challenges stem from the song’s potential to inspire and uplift listeners.
“Every time we release a new song, it will be attacked (spiritually) before it is released.
Here’s what they (gospel musicians) can tell you.
“You will see this kind of attack because this song is going to impact lives and do wonders in someone’s life.
If you are not mentally solid as an artiste, you will even forget your lyrics during the attack, I can tell you that,” she said in a recent interview.
Empress Gifty noted that gospel artistes must be mentally strong to withstand these attacks, otherwise they risk being deflected from their mission.
“This is why some artistes quit after three interviews when they release a song.
They don’t want that.
When attacks come, sometimes you lose focus and stop, even though you are giving a very good message.

Empress Gifty, who is currently promoting her latest song, “Watch Me,” was recently commended by veteran gospel singer Georgia Adjei for holding her strong during difficult moments.
