Lionel Messi will play again for Inter Miami in their match against Philadelphia Union, the team has revealed.
Since June, Messi has not been seen wearing an Inter Miami jersey. His comeback will significantly increase the Herons’ chances of winning the MLS Cup since they currently lead the MLS Eastern Conference.
By releasing a video of a young Miami supporter crying as she watched her hero, Inter Miami officially announced Messi’s comeback. “I’m hoping to see Messi.” In the video, she declares, “I want to see because I am his fan.”
With the caption, The Herons wrote, “Cry no more, the [GOAT] is back tomorrow.”
Salma is the name of the girl’s family, and they remarked on the post: “It’s our daughter. Thanks to Inter Miami for distributing the video, she can now pursue her dream of meeting Messi.”
Messi will want to make a big splash when he returns after his extended vacation. If the Argentine returns to form, Inter Miami could be nearly impossible to stop; they take on Philadelphia Union on Sunday morning.
