Dreams FC coach Karim Zito is happy with the goalless draw between FC Samartex and Dreams FC.

In the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League start on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium, Dreams FC’s coach, Abdul Karim Zito, praised his team’s tenacity after their goalless draw against FC Samartex, the reigning champions.

Even with midfielder Collins Boah’s second yellow card in the 72nd minute, reducing them to ten men, Dreams FC held off the champions to earn a point.

Zito’s team faced a difficult task in the last 18 minutes of the game after receiving their first red card of the season.

Despite being more dangerous in the second half, Samartex was unable to take use of their numerical advantage. Both teams were unable to break through, and the game finished in a draw.

Since we were short one man along the road, I will agree that, in some ways, the outcome is fair. After the game, Coach Zito stated, “We were struggling to make it at least a draw.” But the fight was fiercely contested up until that point. I think they performed admirably despite our desire to prevail.

Dreams FC will now focus on their upcoming matchup with Basake Holy Stars, who were recently promoted.
