A monetary donation has been made to the daughter of the late shot-stopper William Essu by the Goalkeepers Union of Ghana (GUG).
The young girl received GHC 5,200 from the Association to help with her school expenses following the death of her father earlier this year.
On Saturday afternoon in Cape Coast, a group headed by Asante Kotoko goalkeepers trainer Najahu Issah, current club captain Frederick Asare, and others made the donation at the home of the former Legon Cities stopper.
On behalf of the daughter, the money was donated to the late goalkeeper’s parents.
He played for Ghana in the Totalenergies CHAN tournament in Algeria with the Black Galaxies squad, and in 2022 he will play for Morocco at the U-23 level.
Due to a chronic illness, the former goalkeeper for Vision FC passed away.
