Romelu Lukaku is the subject of a bid from Serie A team Napoli to Chelsea, which would also see Victor Osimhen relocate to Stamford Bridge.
Talks between Chelsea and Napoli are ongoing over a deal that would see the two attackers switch teams. According to The Times, Lukaku is keen to get back together at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona with former Chelsea and Inter manager Antonio Conte. According to the source, Napoli has made an offer of £25.6 million (€29.8 million/$32.8 million) for Lukaku thus far, and Osimhen is said to be worth about £90 million (€104 million/$115 million). It’s anticipated that talks will go on to reach a mutually agreeable agreement, with Chelsea reportedly seeking to pay about £40 million (€46 million/$51 million) for the Belgian striker.
Last season, Lukaku scored 13 goals in 32 games while on loan at Roma in the Italian top division, while Osimhen scored 15 goals in 25 games for Napoli in Serie A.
Lukaku and Napoli will both be hoping that a deal can be reached at last. This weekend marks the beginning of the 2024–25 seasons for both teams. In the Premier League, the Blues play champions Manchester City, and in Serie A, Napoli visits Verona.
