The Ghanaian defender Patric Pfeiffer, who was born in Germany, said that joining the Swiss powerhouse BSC Young Boys was the finest decision he could have made during the summer transfer window.
After struggling to get regular playing time in the Bundesliga with FC Augsburg, the lanky center-back joined the Swiss champions on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, after completing a season-long loan.
Pfeiffer, who just switched nationalities to play for Ghana, thinks that going on loan will help him advance as a player.
“I’m also thrilled to be able to participate in part in a European competition along with playing abroad, with the goal to return to Augsburg with greater potential next season,” he stated.
Pfeiffer’s deal with the German elite team, meanwhile, is set to expire in the summer of 2027.
