As Otto Addo gets ready to take on Kwesi Appiah in the forthcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifications, renowned sportscaster Kwabena Yeboah has cautioned the head coach of Ghana’s national team.
In a pivotal doubleheader, Sudan will play Ghana under the guidance of Appiah, a former head coach of the Black Stars.
As the games draw near, Yeboah voiced worries over Appiah’s deep familiarity with the Black Stars from his time as coach, captain, and executive committee member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
He is currently a member of the FA’s executive committee and attends our meetings. He is well-versed in the inner workings of the Black Stars. Yeboah, the president of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), said, “I mean, it’s unbelievable.”
The return game is slated for October 15 at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Sudan. Ghana will host Sudan on October 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Monday marks the start of Addo and his team’s training camp in Accra as they prepare for these pivotal matches.
