In February 2025, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois are thinking about rematching.A “big surprise” early in 2025 might include some of the biggest names in boxing; Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois’ rematch is being discussed for February of that year.
According to Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, which organizes the Riyadh Season events, Queensberry and Matchroom, two rival promoters, are assembling a formidable fight card. Queensberry won a ‘5 vs 5’ team match against Matchroom in June. A rescheduled edition of that event, maybe featuring Daniel Dubois vs Anthony Joshua again, is in the works for February.
“We will wrap it up this week with a major surprise and then let’s see the outcome of this fight, the outcome of the big fight December 21, [Oleksandr] Usyk-Tyson [Fury].” watch you in February again, Queensberry versus Matchroom, 5 vs 5.”Everyone on the line, Joshua, Dubois, Tyson, Usyk, everybody.”
It’s what we desire. We want to witness the main bouts and determine who the true champions in each division are.”
The IBF heavyweight world champion Dubois defeated the two-time unified world champion Joshua via stoppage in just five rounds at Wembley last month. Dubois’s promoter, Frank Warren of Queensberry, was excited by the idea of a rematch.”It’s all about styles but also with AJ, you’ve got to put him on the back foot and that’s what he did,” Warren stated.
“He made him look foolish. The fight’s trajectory was established when he snapped his head back with that opening blow. The most notable blow he delivered, in my opinion, came in the fourth round when he struck Daniel with an uppercut.
“However, you want AJ to trade with you as he exposes himself when he trades. You can catch him on the counter after he delivers that punch, and that’s exactly what he did.”
“I am aware that his desire to win the world heavyweight title is pushing him in favor of a rematch.
