Both authorities promised to continue supporting the Asante Akyem Municipal Football Federation and reiterated their commitment to advancing football in the municipality.
Yesterday, Nana Kwabena Owusu Ansah, the Chairman of the Facility Management Committee and a former professional referee, and Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Francis Oti Boateng gave the keys to the office at the Astroturf facility.
Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, CEO of Ghana Digital Centers and Chairman of the Municipal Football Association, thanked the Assembly for working together to promote football during the handover event.
He gave them his word that the office will successfully fulfill its mandate as a central location for administrative tasks related to identifying and developing football talent in the area.
He added that the nation as a whole would gain from the association’s efforts in addition to Asante Akyem.
It is anticipated that the creation of this office will improve the Municipal Football Association’s administration and operations, allowing for greater coordination of local football development programs.
This partnership represents a major step forward in developing the area’s youth football talent.
